Ánimo, ¡Chévere! scholarships are available for three different groups of candidates (Target Group 1, Target Group 2 and Target Group 3) according to your nationality and your academic, professional or socio-economic situation.

Nationals from EU countries
- If you are enrolled at a European partner university you belong to Target Group 1 and you can apply for:
- Credit transfer programmes (undergraduate, master)
- Short stays (doctorate, post-doctorate, staff)
Nationals from Cuba
- If you are enrolled at a Cuban partner university you also belong to Target Group 1 and you can apply for:
- Credit transfer programmes (master)
- Short stays (doctorate, post-doctorate, staff)
- If you are enrolled at a higher education institution in Cuba not included in the Ánimo, ¡Chévere! partnership you belong to Target Group 2 and you can apply for:
- Credit transfer programmes (master)
- Short stays (doctorate, post-doctorate)
- If you have obtained a university degree in Cuba you also belong toTarget Group 2 and you can apply for:
- Short stays (doctorate, post-doctorate)
Nationals from Chile and Venezuela
- If you are enrolled at a Chilenean or Venezuelan partner university you also belong to Target Group 1 and you can apply for:

- Full degree programmes (doctorate)
- If you are enrolled at a higher education institution in Chile or Venezuela not included in the Ánimo, ¡Chévere! partnership you belong to Target Group 2 and you can apply for:
