As Ánimo, ¡Chévere! focuses strongly on regional needs in South America, the following seven specific thematic areas have been identified as priority fields:

- Education and Teacher Training
- Engineering and Technology
- Geography and Geology
- Natural Sciences
- Social Sciences
Bear in mind that applications for undergraduate and master studies are limited to the specific thematic areas. Applications for doctorate, post-doctorate and staff can be for any study field offered by the Ánimo, ¡Chévere! partnership.
