Chaired session by project coordinator of Ánimo, ¡Chévere!

The coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus - Ánimo, ¡Chévere! project was invited by the Spanish Ministry of Education to chair the session about University Politics on Joint Degrees (Jornadas de Política Universitaria sobre Títulos Conjuntos). During the session, he give an overview about the Erasmus Mundus partnership between European and Third Country higher education institutions, known as Action II of the Erasmus Mundus cooperation and mobility programme (former Erasmus Mundus Cooperation Window) providing some hints about the preparation of proposals and explaining the pros and difficulties that entail the coordination of projects.

On Friday 9^th of April 2010 an announcement of the Ánimo, ¡Chévere! scholarships has been published in the newspaper "El Universo" (Ecuador).

On friday 5th of March 2010 the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA) received the visit of Artur Schmitt, the coordinator of the scholarship programme Ánimo, ¡Chévere!, who explained the benefits of the cooperation network between european and latin american universities.

Arthur Schmitt gave the details of the project Ánimo, ¡Chévere! during a press conference in Venezuela, where the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA) and the Universidad Simón Bolívar are part of the programme. As well as Venezuela, also Cuba, Chile, Ecuador and european country such as Spain, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Poland and United Kingdom are Ánimo, ¡Chévere! partner Universities. The application for the scholarship has to be done on line at www.animo-chevere.eu until the 22nd of March.
